Massage for Relaxation (HLTH 304)

In this course, you will learn an easy, nurturing massage that will benefit your friends and loved ones. In eight hours, you will experience a variety of massage techniques, and you will leave with the confidence to use them. The focus will be on relaxation and stress release skills. This is a hands-on workshop sensitive to your needs and limits in a safe, non-threatening environment.
You should bring to class massage oil or lotion, an exercise mat or pad and two large towels.

Dress in “sweats” and swimsuit or halter top.

No partner is necessary.

This discussion and practice first aid class will focus on what to do for cuts, burns, poisoning, broken bones, seizures and sudden illnesses. The adult/child CPR portion covers choking, heart attack signs/symptoms and adult/child CPR. Bring your first aid questions. With Choking Remedies

If you live or work with children, it is essential that you know emergency medical procedures. In many cases, the difference between life and death is how soon CPR is started. You will learn what to do if an infant or child (birth to 8 years) stops breathing, begins choking or needs CPR. This thorough hands-on class will also cover how to treat various pediatric emergencies. Students will be provided with their own sterile mannequin.

This hands-on course covers:

This CPR class kept fun, entertaining and easy to remember. CPR completion cards are valid for 2 years. Certification through the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) which is state certified, nationally recognized and equivalent to American Heart Association and Red Cross, without a $15 mandated text. Child care providers stay for an additional hour for topics specific to their industry.

*Note: A Licensed Child Care worker can apply for a sizable 4C’s reimbursement for this class. Funds are limited. Call 4C’s for more info.
